Research : Primary Research Methods

In order to find out my target audience and what they would be interested in to find in a magazine and actually want to buy it; I need to conduct some primary research.

Primary Research: Primary research is new research, carried out to answer specific issues or questions.
It can involve questionnaires, surveys or interviews with individuals or small groups.

Questionnaire: a set of printed or written questions with a choice of answers, devised for the purposes of a survey or statistical study.

Survey: a general view, examination, or description of someone or something.

Interview: Interviewing involves asking questions and getting answers from participants in a study.  Interviewing has a variety of forms including: individual, face-to-face interviews and face-to-face group interviewing.  The asking and answering of questions can be mediated by the telephone or other electronic devices (e.g. computers).
Interviews can be structured, semi-structure or unstructured.

I plan on conducting a survey and a semi-structured and unstructured interview to get a general idea what people like.
